Oct 29 Tricker Trek 5K/10K/1 Mile Run. The Panhandle Runners are kicking off the
Grand Opening of the new Conservation Park and its trail systems on October 29th at 8
a.m. Conservation Park is just off Griffin Blvd which is 1 mile west of Hwy 79 on Back Beach
Rd. LaQuinta Inn is right at the corner of Griffin Blvd and Back Beach Rd. We have a little
for everyone. At 8 a.m., we will start it all off with a 5K run/walk and a 10K run. Upon
completion of that event, we will have a 1 mile walk/jog. The one mile course is out and back
on the paved trail that crosses one of the cypress swamps. Entry for the 5 and 10K is $15
early. The one mile is $10. We will have registration the day of the event also. Race day is
$18 and $12 respectively. A Halloween T-shirt is included in your registration fee. T-shirts
guaranteed to the first 175 participants. If anyone wants to register online, go to
www.active.com and type Tricker Trek in the search box. We will start the event at the
educational building or hub of the trail systems. We will have prizes, give-aways and a
Halloween Costume Contest. There will be something for all ages. WMBB will be having a
promo this coming Tuesday morning on the early show. Come check out all the trail and
help us kick of the Grand Opening of Conservation Park. Anyone wanting more information
